Metarocks

Rotating Metarock

**BREAKING NEWS: Eliminite, Inc. has recently begun incorporating crushed recycled glass into the coating of our MetaRocks. This addition does not affect the performance of MetaRocks, and allows us to use a waste product as a resource in our ongoing effort to provide an effective, environmentally sound solution to an issue that affects the entire planet: the treatment and disposal of wastewater.

The secret behind Eliminite’s superior treatment capabilities is its MetaRocks—the internal medium that provides what may be the most hospitable surface possible for growing the microorganisms responsible for Total Nitrogen reduction and overall advanced wastewater treatment.

large, polar surface area
The composition of the Eliminite’s MetaRocks begins with a unique, customized blend of closed-cell polyurethane resins engineered to endure years of exposure to wastewater without degrading or becoming saturated. This specialized polyurethane blend is then mechanically formed into an approximated sphere, partially slit through the center to increase surface area without compromising the overall shape, and coated with a special blend of coarse and fine-grain sand, which bonds instantly and permanently to the customized resins during production. The combination of coarse and fine-grain sand allows the wastewater that is sprayed over the MetaRocks to wet the polar, sandy surface completely, thereby inviting the even, consistent growth of microorganisms around the entire sphere of the MetaRock.

MetaRocks provide ideal surface
for growing microorganisms
The roughly spherical shape of the MetaRocks, combined with the center slit that is designed not to interfere with the natural packing of the MetaRocks, provides large, open pore spaces within the Eliminite that promote the free flow of air throughout the system. This efficient method of system aeration is vital to the treatment process and allows microorganisms to flourish on the surface of the MetaRocks.

Lightweight, durable and customizable, MetaRocks are patented, proprietary media not found in any other onsite wastewater treatment system in the world.
